Version 2.0 adds live traffic based on these required conversion packages:
MAIW NBAI McDonnell Douglas FA-18 Hornet Carrier & FCLP - P3D Pack-1 V.3.1
MAIW NBAI Grumman F-14 Tomcat Naval - P3D Pack-1 V.4.0
This freeware package contains the NBAI Grumman F-14 Tomcat Naval, created by Nick Black and converted for P3D by the team of Mason Curling. The converted models should give you better frame rates in P3D and ensures that the NBAI Grumman F-14 Tomcat Naval displays correctly in P3Dv2-6.
Together with the converted models, this package also contains converted textures for all related paints that MAIW ever released. We have converted the textures to DDS format with DXT5 compression and mipmaps for the best possible performance. Read the included readme for more information and installation instructions.
V.3.0
- New VC lighting
- New crew boarding ladder vis conditions
- Emissive texturing for the “slime lights”
- Updated wings to include new slat materials; updated slat animations to prevent the main wing bleeding through the slats during retraction; repositioned the right wing to prevent the leading edge of the wing bleeding through the fuselage glove.
- New 2048 paint kit and repaints by Dan Reeves!
- Updated Hook and Cat Launch animations (carrier versions)
- Updated FDE for better stabilator behavior
- New variants to be more accurate and reflective of the F-14s life cycle
- Early A: No separate HUD (originally the F-14’s HUD was projected directly on to the canopy windscreen), no nose probe, GRU-7A Seats (handles), ECM only chin pod, red vc lights for night, A to A loadouts only, with glove vanes only, PW TF-30 engine
- Mid A: No separate HUD, GRU-7A Seats, ECM only chin pod, red vc lights for night, A to A and A to G loadouts, glove vanes options, PW TF-30 engine
- Late A: No separate HUD, GRU-7A Seats, TCS ECM chin pod, red vc lights for night, A to A and A to G loadouts, glove vanes options, PW TF-30 engine
- Early B: No separate HUD, GRU-7A Seats, TCS ECM chin pod, red vc lights for night, A to A and A to G loadouts, no glove vanes, GE F-110 engine
- Late B: Sparrowhawk HUD (framed / separate combiner glass), GRU-7A Seats, TCS ECM chin pod, red vc lights for night, A to A and A to G loadouts, no glove vanes, GE F-110 engine
- D: Sparrowhawk HUD, SJU style seats (no upper handles); Dual TCS/IR ECM chin pod, green vc lights for night, A to A and A to G loadouts, no glove vanes, GE F-110 engine
V.4.0
- adds moving exhausts with shutdown asymmetry on TF-30 powered models; new object based slime lights with vis conds; updated afterburner effects; working elevons and stabilator droop on shutdown
This freeware package contains the NBAI Grumman F-14 Tomcat Land, created by Nick Black and converted for P3D by the team of Mason Curling. The converted models should give you better frame rates in P3D and ensures that the NBAI Grumman F-14 Tomcat Land displays correctly in P3Dv2-6.
Together with the converted models, this package also contains converted textures for all related paints that MAIW ever released.
