Anyone know of a suitable Blackbird for AI use, or if any are pending?

I could be wrong here but that might be its limiting IAS number.

It sounds like it might need a new fde, if not.

You need to be at altitude to get the high mach numbers. Most airliners cruise at Mach 0.8 at 30 000ft plus altitude but they are only travelling at 250 kts IAS. Mach 0.8 at sea level is 600 kts which way above there maximum IAS.

Concorde only did about 500 kts IAS but at 60 000 ft that translated to Mach 2.

Why can’t they keep the colours in the bloody paint pots and just leave them grey

Hi Graham thanks. I'll need to do a rethink, something with the acceleration. Back to AI, in the above mentioned pack is a nice AI "Rivet Joint model" would one I presume need permision for repaints? It's an old Alphasim package I believe. Starting work on the start cart fot the Blackbirds :)

 Finally? After all these years I begged for her? Thanks a million to whomever - that is if the production line gets into motion again :smt002.
Steve, you should have told me!
Cheers,
Martin

It's not really for me to say what other people are doing, but this was mentioned by the modeller some time ago. As you know models get started and not finished for different reasons, hence the the stuck on the production line comment. I believe that it is wrong to announce a model that may not get done, as it may stop others attempting to build it and therefore we don't get any model at all.

You never know but what Tim is doing may help it reach roll out but it would be wrong of me to put pressure on the modeller to finish this. It has to be something that he wants to do.

You take me a bit to serious, Steve. Just could not resist that sentence because I have molested you about the Blackbird once or twice if memory serves me right

Yes, show everything, Tim  Seriously, I am very happy about this one. I don't care to have a real world representation in terms of "do they actually still fly". Bad enough that you don't see them in the skies anymore.
Cheers,
Martin
