Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
Good morning,
I’m looking to add some USCG AI around some of my Alaska airfields. I have found a couple good packages that come complete with the required models - except for the MH-65 Dolphin. The Read Me file directs you to download it directly from Hovercontrol’s website. However, the site is down and looks like it has been for a while.
Does anyone have any ideas of where else to look? Would it be possible to PM me the model?
Thank you in advance.
Colin Gray

Joe,
Those were perfect. Again, thank you. I’m not sure which aircraft config file to use.
I went with the file with the added traffic file. I downloaded the additional file from flightsim. I moved the model folder over as directed, but the read me file mentioned leaving the configuration file. I’m left with the config file that only addresses the textures. Don’t AI aircraft still need flight dynamics?

Rowcoach,
Sorry I wasn't the one who sent whatever you received.
I'll try to send to you my file by PM but the file may be too large.

Colin,
File is too large to send by PM. 9 textures, two models, cfg. etc come to 4.9M.
PM me your email and I'll send that way.

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
Joe,
Which model is this? I had the JFAI AS365/HH65 w/ the 2 USCG repaints flying in FSX. Since the JFAI unusable in P3D, I wonder is this model in question will work.

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
Chris, forgive me. I just today happened upon your question.
They are not the JFAI and they show up in my P3Dv3. I don't know how much they affect FPS.
This is Hunter AAF. I had to go find Hunter and install as I hadn't gotten to it.
Been waiting on doing any more to P3Dv3 as I am getting antsy for v4.4

Have these been tried in 4.4?

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
That, I can't say . . . . . . I only have v3.4.
They 'work' in FSX and P3Dv3, but someone who knows how to use MCX could really fix them to work properly.

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
Greetings,
I'm respectfully wondering if someone can private message me with the models pictured above that work in FSX. (I am using P3Dv4+ but am eager to tinker with them if they don't work out-of-the-box).
My father was a USCG HH-65 pilot and I have been looking to populate my simulator with Dolphins at the appropriate Air Stations.

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
We are allowed to convert the Dolphin made by Antti Pankkonen (I believe that is the model in the screen shots above, right?) and actually it is already converted. But I have only one US Coast Guard texture set, and the painter never replied to my mails, so we are stuck for the moment.
If anybody here has painted the Dolphin (or would do so) we could progress with the release.

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
Martin, isn't it going to need some slimming down to be useful as an AI aircraft?

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
I have not checked its details, but it is not his flyable version but a dedicated AI one.

Don't get confused by Reggie's PM... the need for paints is still there.

Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin
We convert an FS-9 model, so there already is one.
Let me lookup the link later.
