military aircraft not visible at any airport

Post by a7edriver »

Military aircraft not visible at any airport, when i download and install west coast c-5 package.

1. I install package to program files (x86)..As per instructions.
2. Exit.
3. Go to FSX and check the airport and, no aircraft are seen at the airport.
4. Check the Miaw files in program files (x86) folder...Below is whats there.

USA Folder.
USAF Folder.
AMC West coast C-5's

Voicepack Callsigns
Aircraft_MAIW_AMC West C-5.txt
Airports_MAIW_AMC West C-5.txt
Flightplans_MAIW_AMC West C-5.txt

Where do these txt files go?

Can someone please do a video on, how to properly install these packages?

When you say that you followed the instructions do you mean from the readme in the package or from Martin's FSX conversion guide?

The reason I ask is that the package is for FS9 so you need to manually convert it to where FSX needs to find the files. The file can be downloaded from here http://www.owlsnest.eu/phpatm/index.php

Oh it needs to be converted to FSX and yes, I'm using the readme in the package.
Thanks for the reply.

Martin's conversion doc is very good and since it was published the number of questions that we got on how to get packages working in FSX dropped dramatically. So it should help you.
