Hi Guys,
hope someone can help me. I want to populate NAS Meridian with the export hawks pt 6 package. But with no luck.
So, what did i do:
- downloaded the fs9 version of the export hawks pt 6
- installed the scenery into FSX (shows up perfectly)
- downloaded and installed the for FSX converted T-45's.
- opened the flightplans.txt in AIFP3 and converted (compiled) them to FSX (not sure if i did this correctly )
- installed the compiled traffic.bgl into scenery/world/scenery folder.
but no traffic shows up. So is there anyone who can talk me to the process of getting FSX converted planes in FSX with the use of the "old" flightplans made for the FS9 version?
thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Edwin
The download hangar is currently disabled. We're doing our best to bring it back as soon as possible.

Edwin,
In AIFP3, did you use the Bulk Traffic-Convert FS9 Traffic Files to FSX? If so, during that process you have an option to delete the FS9 traffic file, if this file is still in your scenery folder all sorts of issues will happen with no AI showing. Of course, last check is the AI % traffic slider.

Hi Chris,
thanks for your reply. i checked for FS9 traffic files, none were present. So i checked the traffic sliders and gues what? they were at 0 oops!!
So now i have the apron full of Goshawks
But now i have another problem. after 15/20 min of flight i get a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library error. with the following text:
Runtime error
Program: E:\FSX|fsx.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call
and then FSX closes.
anyone an idea what causes this?

Re: FSX T-45 Goshawk at NAS Meridian
Edwin, this is a known bug, caused by the use of the stock dummy.fx file which on rare occasions causes a CTD. The current library file version of the Hawks package contains a fix created by Firebird, you can also get the correct dummy.fx file here:

Hope this helps, Henk.

thanks Henk,
I've downloaded the hawk package last week, this should be the newest file containing the fix right?
But i will give it a try.
Best regards
Edwin

Edwin, my mistake - the Hawk pack was not revised, still v1.0. Conclusion: You need to grab the dummy.fx file from the link I provided above.

Re: FSX T-45 Goshawk at NAS Meridian
okay thanks and where should i put it?
Re: FSX T-45 Goshawk at NAS Meridian
Just like any other effects file, the dummy_fx file should be put in your FSX or P3D \Effects folder. You should replace the older version which causes the CTD's.
Re: FSX T-45 Goshawk at NAS Meridian
thanks Henk, that did the trick.
Thanks again for the quick help.

Henk, the link is inactive? Trying to troubleshoot an issue in P3Dv4.5 to check out John's LC-130s, getting a CTD anytime I enter that part of NY with no info on my Appcrash.

Chris, the link is fine I just tested it. You get a web page and you click on the download button and you get a fx_dummy.zip file which is 1KB in size.
I tried it in Iexplorer and Firefox.
