RAF F-35 flight plans

Post by Miggers »

Gents,

I've downloaded John's F-35 package and buzzbee's RAF repaints.

I see from the F35 manual that the package doesn't do TNG's too well.

I was going to modify the Tornado Marham flight plans as suggested to do by buzzbee, but there
seems to be an awful lot of TNG's in them.

Has anyone done any plans from scratch or modified the old Tornado plans at all?

If I were to modify the Tornado plans, what would it entail?

Obviously, changing all the a/c's serial numbers to reflect the Lightnings, removing the TNG's from the plans
(after John's advice in the manual)and changing the aircraft titles from the old Tornado names,
i.e "MAIW_FMAI_Tornado_GR4_RFR_617_ and inserting the correct callsigns into the Lightning's
CFG file.

Anything else at all?

All I did was to change the tornado aircraft to the F-35 in the aircraft.txt. and remove the FP legs that do not use the F35 #AC.

As you say change the serial numbers and use the 617 callsigns, GIBSON is a popular one.

As a mate in Scotland pointed out, they don't seem to venture too far unless they're on exercise with a carrier
out in the North Sea.

Any chance of a look-see at yours John,or even giving them a try at all?

Hi

I've changed some of my models to use the CTOL armed version as I think the F-35B can only take-off conventionally with a load of Paveway bombs. I've put 4 617 ones at Akrotiri for attacks on Syria.

Also 207Sqn visits Culdrose and Yeovilton as they are flown by FAA pilots in training for the RN aircraft due in a a few years.

Yes no problems. I'll package my aircraft.cfg that I've used as well.
