Looking for a Oceana NAS AFACD

Post by Joseph29 »

Does anyone have a AFCAD for Jim Dhaenens Oceana NAS? I thought of using the AFCAD that came with the new tomcat package but that AFCAD doesn't match up with the scenery. And the AFCAD I have basically sucks  I have about 6 spaces in it for AI parking  .

I am having a problem with this scenery and any AFCAD's (except for the one that can with the scenery.

What ever AFCAD I try it never seems to get reconized by FS9. I put the new AFCAD in the Oceana scenery folder, FS9 then builds like normal but then when I go to the airport there are no spaces to choose.

(I also tried putting the AFCAD in the addon scenery/scenery folder but that didnt work either)

Is there anyother Oceana AFCAD's? And did you activate the scenery folder in the scenery library settings.

Yes the scenery is active. And the only other AFCAD I have is the one that came with the scenery. and that one I moved before I tried the new AFCADs.

Joseph,
Let me start from the beginning. When you load afcad or AFX or whatever you use how many afcads does ir show for KNTU, and what are their names?

It shows 2 AFCADs, the new one and the default one. The new AFCADs name is AF2_KNTU.bgl.

(I am using FS9)

Oh and when I try to click on the AFCAD to look at the spaces it doesn't even open. :?:

This happened with the MAIW AFCAD for Oceana too.

Hmmm, well I think that we can agree that that is not normal. Maybe its as simple as a corrupt file.

Does afcad load the original, supplied by Jim? Also can you confirm that you have installed his FS9 and not his FSX version?

I noticed that he has included an FS9 afcad within the AI Kit folder, in the FSX version, is this the one gives you 6 spaces?

The AFCADs do load fine, but after that I still don't have any spaces to choose from in the drop down menu and I cant open the AFCADs to check for mistakes or anything like that. Both the MAIW AFCAD and the one posted here in this thread were for FS9. (at least I am pretty sure the one posted by scottr5213 is for DS9)

The wierd thing is the original AFCAD that came with the scenery works fine. (although it's not very good at all. not enough spaces and a few other small things)
