Does the airfile number of flap positions get used at all?

Just think of making some XML easier using a case statement, rather than a load of if els ones.

Eg
100 80 70 45 10 5 (A:< what ever the var is >) case

Means -
5 flap positions
If position =
1 then frame 10
2 then frame 45
3 then frame 70
4 then frame 80
5 then frame 100

Would all rely on the flap handle position being used.

Any thoughts.

Kev,
I have often wondered myself but I believe that it is one of those sections that can be overruled by a cfg entry, although I have never seen this particular section mentioned specifically.
The way to check would be to simple comment out the entire section and then load the plane into FS9. If it is overwritten then you should find that FS9 will add the section at the bottom of the cfg, based on the .air file settings.
