FSDS Rotating Parts ??

Post by MIKE JG »

Guys, does anyone know how to increase the rate of rotation for a part that I've created. In this case the ship's radar. Maratime radars rotate much quicker than their land based cousins. I've got this part rotating but it's doing so very slowly.

If I set more key frame animation points instead of the generic 0, 256, 512, 768, and 1024, will that make the rotation speed up?

Yes it will, you dont actaully have to use the full 1024 frames. You can use 1 or 100 it doesnt matter, If you've got it named tick18_ anything it will continue to go through the animation from first to last keyframe each one being a frame in FS, so make it do 0 forward, 10 left, 20 back, 30 forward and see what that looks like. If thats too fast then make the gapo bigger but still even.
