It would surely need some control input to the left !

Re: MSFS AI V22 Osprey Vertical Takeoff FSX/FS9
@sr01 - Thanks for the effort, but again this seems to based on either a very early model or one of the prototypes.
Look at the main gear doors, then compare to recent pic. They are a lot smaller.
Also look at the side bulges, on the current? ones the skinny part (viewed from the side) goes a lot further back before turning into the rear 'bulge'. Good indicator is the rear windows, it goes well beyond them before bulging.
@mark - sorry, as it is at the moment it's not good enough for release, was a proof of concept model for XML based hover taxiing.

Re: MSFS AI V22 Osprey Vertical Takeoff FSX/FS9
Ok Kev, your the best judge of that.
I could also put the F-35 on hold until quality 3 - view drawing / blue print info is released, if ever released, but I'm hoping the FS community are going to be kind enough just to appreciate my best guess efforts to bring them this aircraft as an AI. I guess we'll see with the release of the F-35B, before I move on to other versions of it.
cheer's,
Mark

Last throw of the dice, I have emailed Boeing to see if they can help.
Re: MSFS AI V22 Osprey Vertical Takeoff FSX/FS9
Finger's crossed Kev. At very least they may be able to steer you to the link where the plans can be located on-line.

When the AI V-22 comes out it may end up being retro.

That really isn't a nice looking aircraft.
And I do wish you Americans could spell properly

I hope he has an agreement with Boeing as they don't take kindly to individuals or companies making money directly from there brand. It appears that James is going to release his AI V-22 Osprey as Payware.

He had come a long way with it. Hope some day he will finish it
Re: MSFS AI V22 Osprey Vertical Takeoff FSX/FS9
Never did get 'reliable' or 'accurate' 3 views for the Osprey, they were all based on the prototype.

Re: MSFS AI V22 Osprey Vertical Takeoff FSX/FS9
Kevin, just out of interest, what triggers the engine rotation animation?
Would your existing (G:Var2) ai_gear xml with a forward speed bracket do the trick? The aircraft is on wheels, so hover taxi isn't needed? Flap code is straightforward.
There's probably a booby trap somewhere, but I can't spot it.

Use the swing wing code in the XML section.

Re: MSFS AI V22 Osprey Vertical Takeoff FSX/FS9
Yep, that sounds good. Not that I want to build an Osprey in the near future, if ever, given that you have the basis for a model already. If the xml is working, you can always adapt the prototype plans from a side on photograph, if nothing later is available.
