A lot of work is a under-statement....

4 'basic' models....
Single seat with Pratt & Whitney
Single seat with General Electric
Dual seat with Pratt & Whitney
Dual seat with General Electric

Then you have spine/no spine and chute/no chute and CFT no CFT options

Yes they will have
1) The correct intake big mouth vs small mouth
2) The correct ECS intake and splitter angles.
3) The correct number of exhaust 'turkey feathers' --- with a TWIST!

A metric crap load of different weapons!

Be a while, you would never guess how long it has taken Mike and I to get to the stage we are at!!

I don't have in game pics, but here is a weapons example...

HELP NEEDED - Does anyone have, or know where I can lay my hands on the Vipers TER-9A side/top/front views??

Hi Hartwig,
Thanks for trying but they can only be used for reference, they cant be used to model as they are all at an angle.

Guys, as an incentive...
With good enough drawing/pics I created the BRU-57 Smart Bomb Rack for the Viper...
AGM65[1].jpg
That with the BRU-61 for Small Diameter Bombs (pic a few posts above), leaves only the TER-9A!

I understand.

90 degree side view

front view, almost 90 degree

Maybe anyone here on the forum has the IRIS F-16 or the Aerosoft F-16 and could check wether there is a loadout included that has these TER-9A? Then take some screenshots.
As far as I remember the Kirk Olson F-16s do not have these TERs.

Anybody here who has Falcon 4.0 or BMS installed and could have a look?

I have those 2 but not installed. If none shows up I will install them and do check them out.

Thanks Christopher,

that does not look too bad, although if you compare it with this picture:
http://www.f-16.net/g3/f-16-photos/album03/agd
there is something missing or different at the back of the rack.

So this is either a different type of rack or the back detail was omitted by IRIS.

Let's wait what the modellers think about that.
Some frontal and 90 degree side screenshots could be used to create the necessary views to model it for the AI F-16.
The missing back details could be created with some "artistic license".

Just my thoughts...

Okey dokey...
I found a good drawing of a BRU-42/TER-9, which is externally the TER-9A without the fairings for high speed weapon carriage.
Using that plus the pics you have provided...

Worked out OK.
Typical load (will be used) - 2 x GBU-38's on smart rack plus 2 x GBU-12's on the TER-9A

They now call them F-16CM's. The new designation means that they are formally CG/CJ models that have been upgraded through the CCIP program which equipped them to carry the HTS pod among other upgrades. Before they could only carry and fire the AGM-88s while another Wild Weasel aircraft actually did the locating and targeting. With the HTS pods they can do it all themselves.

The CCIP program made all USAF Block 40/42/50/52s essentially the same airplane through common avionics, cockpit displays, capabilities, etc.

Thanks Mike for the info. But those models look good. Hope I have everything transferred over to FSX before they are released.

We developed the texture sheet/paint kit so that everything fits on one sheet for every single model variation. That in itself has been a ton of work on Kevin's part. The weapons, because there are so many variations will have a separate sheet of their own.

The point is that the texture for single seat, two seat, spine, no spine, CFTs, etc is the same regardless. Therefore this should reduce the overall work involved for the painters. They should be able to paint an entire squadron by making one master texture and then just changing serials for each aircraft. Then they can use the texture with or without CFTs for example, way less repainting by doing it this way.

I can only echo what Mike has said.
You guys have no idea on the time and effort that these two guys have put in on this series of models. I may even say that more effort has gone into these AI aircraft than a lot of flyable models out there that are payware.

I would even go so far as to say that if one person was doing this on their own you wouldn't get what you will soon have. It is extraordinary. It was an eye-opener just to follow its progress.
