The models are quite nice. The texture mapping is a bit weird on some of them, and the textures are only 512x512, but upsized to 1024x1024 they look great.

They have a lot of potential.

Edit: Oops, should've mentioned that's not the texture that comes in the pack, it's one I made.

This was a great find when I stumbled across it a few weeks ago.

Avsim has a bunch of excellent L-39 repaints done by Miloslave Wolf which are just superb.

What I always thought would be wonderful if there were repaints of at least the basic Soviet planes like the MiG-21 and Mi-17. These would make awesome AI throughout a WARPAC environment, not just the USSR.

Any appetite for some plain (metal repaint) for something like this ....

pretty, and versatile, I believe .... :)

Thanks again for the reminder great AI pack.

I've been trying off and on to install the package but I'm having trouble finding all the model files that are required.
I'll post a list if anyone has what is required.
I'll also post where I did find required files.

I've been using Mehlin Rainer's MiG-21 (http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=67102) as there's a bunch of repaints on Avsim.

3852 polygons, 7 LOD

Hello Jason,

I like this model also - the trouble is that I know of ZERO Soviet paints .... which I find odd, given that airforces from Albania to Zambia are repainted. Obviously, it's great that these are all available - but it would be super if a plain ole' CCCP version was available. I agree that Mehlin's model would make a great basis for a Soviet AF model....

OTOH, Hrvoje Kovacevic has a Mig-21 for which Michael Pearson has provided at least three Russian/ex-Soviet scheme repaints. I believe that it is multi-lod, but I could be wrong.

Check either flightsim.com or avsim.com for model and/or repaints.
