Wow, great great job Rysiek. You've helped me out no end on this one. I guess I couldve done it now with what Ive learnt since but I was very happy to hand it over to you when I had to leave the project, and you've made it work. Not sure it should go down as NBAI Typhoon, I think it has to be RWNBAI Typhoon. A conglomerate design for a conglomerate aircraft, fitting huh?
Thanks a million again man, this is sure to be one of the greatest AI aircraft out there.

And great FDE too :D

OK,
up till now I got info about two issues, both from Graham.
One was easy - a forgotten polygon in T.1s had to be deleted.
This is done.

The second one - night light textures are not showing. I think the problem is in ALPHA channels both for day and night textures. Models themselves are compiled with HasLightMap ticked in makemdl.exe options, so I can not do more with this.

Apart from that, all looks pretty complete.
I plan to release model on Avsim.com, together with a paintkit that I collect now from Kevin and Graham.
The release should be a kind of teaser, before MAIW packages will show up, and as a reference model version download for those good guys, who work on Typhoon packages (we don't want to have beta models survived for WOAI packages, don't we? ).

OK checked the Typhoon lightmap - it's fine.

I use alphas in both lightmap and day texture (reflective) for the Talons so that isn't an issue.

Did notice one thing -
If you give the main texture a _T it doesn't show up.

i.e.
NBAI_typhoon_f2_T.bmp

Never seen that before.

Try a global rename on the texture to include the _T, then a re-compile, I think the night texture will work then.

Textures are called:
NBAI_typhoon_t1.bmp - day
NBAI_typhoon_t1_L.bmp - night
.... yes Kevin, it has to be that!
Now I remember - it was OK for FSDS2 but not for FSDS3, as it is very gmax-like !!!
That's why my FSDS3 A-10 has them:
RWAI_A10_L.bmp
RWAI_A10_T.bmp

You are right, the correct names should be then:
NBAI_typhoon_t1_T.bmp - day
NBAI_typhoon_t1_L.bmp - night

Just to have you another pair of socks  ,
Release Candidate 3 version was generated and sent to Beta/Release group,
this time an actuator strut was added, on special Frank's request as well as newest "HEIGHT driven" spoiler, invented by Nick:

The model range is quite ready, I think you will get your hands on them right when two English packs will be released by MAIW, together with "farewell" Jaguars ... very quick.
