Thanks for the model Mark, another snuck in more or less under the radar 8)

But at the risk of being shot down, I was wondering if the lower cargo door on the forward port side is a recent addition to the MRTT? Because it's in the model, but I can't see it in pics of the real thing :?

Whether or not there are doors on both sides I couldn't say.
There is a door on the starboard side :-

I have found no clear pics of the port side to say definitively.

Nope, rotating turbine still not it. A hint, it has nothing to do with the fuel systems.

Cargo doors can be either side depending on what the customer wants. I being the customer wanted both doors :P
The RR engine version has a closed door version as well, and I may make a single cargo bay door version as well if the need arises. It's only about 15 minutes work to delete the inner door and weld the outer door back into the fuselage on all the lod models.

EDIT: There is now a KC-3 model being included with an animated starboard cargo bay door.

Steve H , yes the textures can be changed by the user for the inner cargo bay if they desire. I make the model, you good people do the rest to make it suit your needs.

Hi Mark,
Thankyou for a nice addition to the military AI world. Just one question though why a PW model, as far as I am aware the only engines used are General Electric CF6-80E on Australian an Saudi aircraft and Rolls-Royce Trent 772B on RAF and United Arab Emirates aircraft.
Thanks again,
Steve

These engines are like Asians, they all look alike to me!
If it has the wrong engines then so be it. They are the engines that came with the design infomation that I had at the time so they are the engines that the model is now wearing, for better or worse. Any oversight was not picked up in the two years that this model was tossed about in development.
Feel free to drop it in your trash bin on the way out if your not happy with it!

I think I have found it:

Is it the little prop thing on the front of the drogue pod that rotates in flight ?

The Flightplans are done but need to be tested before release.

No pete, that animation is typical for a pod of that type, in fact Nick Black did it on some of his AI.
The animation is so small its hard to see. Watcht the elevators on startup, and then again durring flight around 190 knots.
Not much to look at I know, but I ran out of fresh ideas.
Perhaps knowing what engines go with what aircraft would have been a smarter thing to do.
Now the smart thing for me to do is to do absolutely nothing, just smile and walk away from this rubbish.
The RR engine type is uploaded to Flightsim.com, if something is wrong or defective, well that is just too bad.
see ya

Got it. Thanks for the pointer, I would never have noticed that without your nudge in
the right direction. Far to subtle for me :D

Thanks for another excellent addition to our hobby.

Now to play with the RR model :)

That is very quick work Ray.

I'm now putting down my development mouse and finally do what I've been saying for a while, and that is to retire from FS development.
I cant say how happy I am to get this dog finally released, I feel I now have nothing more to contribute.
As I know that this is an additictive hobby that is hard to give up, I'm therefore packing away my PC's, dumping one of them altogether and buying another Mac for my web surfing.
I've had a lot of fun with FS development over the years but more recently its been a chore rather than fun. May be I'll check out X-plane one day, who knows.

I hope you'll remain as a resource person ! I publicly mention that Mark was very helpful ,patiently explaining useful tips on using FSDS .
I'll be back to working on the "Dark Horse" sometime in early Oct .
