Drew, those look wonderful.
Can hardly wait to have them flying.
I recently did repaints of the Alphasim F-111 in Lakenheath Livery.
In next week will be uploading a reasonably significant update to the Pig HUD panel, and the radar
has some rather ( VERY ) interesting upgrades , this will be the perfect set up to intercept and formate
with your F-111 AIs.
Track them on the radar and identify them BVR with the Pace Tack.

Are the test F-111 AI models mentioned earlier by Mark still available for download ?
Would love to have them instead of the ones that I currently have loaded.

Actually, I did leave a couple of bumps off... those circular ones on the top and side of the nose, like in this pic: http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 0726431/L/
I've only found a couple of pics of Ravens with those, anyone know what they are and if I should include them?
Drew, looking at those I think that if they were painted on they would suffice. The ones on the side in the pic actually look painted on anyway.

The EF-111 bulge top centre line between the canopy and Radome is a GPS antenna.
Two close up photos , one in profile are in the series of detail articles by Jim Rotramel
he is a very well known and respected F-111 Driver who is mentioned in most books on the F-111.

google search the following:

" F-111 Antennas by Jim Rotramel "

I suspect the circular patch on the side of the nose is only a graphic decal

Ahh, excellent pics, thanks Karol!
I did find this page which I guess is the one you meant, but it has no images on it for me, anyone else seeing any? The rest of the series works fine (and I have them all saved)

I did eventually work out that the things on the side were markings when I found a closer picture of a different model from the same base that had them too.

Drew

Go to F-111.net website.
then in selection index listing click on " models " .
You will see all 9 of his topics.
click and save all of them as they are extremely good for detail.
They were an important part of my research when I did the repaints.
He is a superb gentleman.

Drew

Is the F-111 AI still an active project ?

Those models and screenshots are really superb.
It would be great to have even your experimental loadout models, please do not discard them,
I'm sure that there are many that would love to have those loadout models , even if they are
only semi finished.

Check out the OZx forums , there is a stunning new scenery being done for Amberley,
Australia, Airbase, YAMB . That new airport/airbase desperately calls for these
new F-111 AI's.

Drew has not thrown away his F-111 but he has other projects that he works on as well.
He also prefers to release a finished article rather field questions about when such and such is going to be released.

It may be frustrating to have to wait for a particular model but we all have to do it.

Karol,

Drew has been doing a dozen things lately and not a lot of time for any one thing. The F-111 is still on the go but the fact that the RAAF no longer has them basically above 60ft of dirt kinda put's a knife in your heart. I too want them flying in my sim and hopefully 2012 will bring joy to our heart once again. Keep the faith! :P

Edit: I have seen snippets of the FSX Amberley scenery on OZx, it looks pretty good from a glimps.

Steve and Mark have pretty much said it all.
The C-17 is much closer to being 100% finished than the F-111, so that's my #1 priority at this time. Once the C-17 finally sees the light of day, there will only be the F-111 for me to work on.
No promises though, about either. You'd end up disappointed, and I'd end up feeling guilty :smt110

However frustrating it is for you guys, trust me, it's worse for me!

And what a year its going to be for those into the F-111.
Ahead of us lies :

Great news.

Virtavia have announced that a F-111C will be included in the package.

Just looking at the photos I've already started a list of thing they have wrong, but it's a lot better than the 2004 version.
