Unfortunately the AI version is 16000 Polys at LOD1, has 4 LODs and the 4th LOD is just a box which is strange. Doesn't look like we can use it.

Damn! Looks like our designers need to add one to their list  Also an Augusta 109 seeing as it is used by the British Army Air Corps for special ops.

8 flights A109's were replaced by AS365 Dauphins in 2008

Beautiful models but the cockpits (2D and VC) are real frame rate killers on my system and make them unflyable.
I suppose the double instrumentation in the VC (pilot and co-pilot) and all the other simulated systems are the reason for this.

Thanks for that I didn't know that. I did see one at RM Hamworthy the other week but it didn't click with me.

US Customs and Border Protection has a couple 139s.
Would be nice to have a good AI one.

Or at least a repaint of the flyable version. Helos are my real world job and I'm on Hovercontrol as much as here. A few FPS fixes I used from their forums, "//" out the "heatshimmer" fx from the panel and aircraft.cfg sections. Sadly she still flies like most FS helos. Good info on the AI model, it looked heavy from the selection screen, but some used the HC Blackhawk at 19k polys!

Thanks Joecoastie, but with more test flights with the above changes, I may just have to use the AI model with the flyable panel added, right now my FPS are way down.

Whew . . . . I just looked at the supplied "paintkit" . . . . . and it'll be a tough "row to hoe".
A good many body panels and parts to be painted are on/in other .bgls not part of paintkit.
I use GIMP and it will open the .psd but not the Corel .cpt. Maybe the Corel is better?
Anyhow I'll give it a try.
