posting picture help please?

hi just woundering how you make it that when you are posting an image on a forum how you make the image come up rather than the link for the image. I use imageshack or photobucket to upload images but i just get the link.

Use the Img button


Then paste the url linking the picture between the Img Tags.

If your using Imageshack its best to use the Direct URL link, this way you get a bigger picture and no text on it.

I use photobucket for mine
There are URL links for each pic if you hover your mouse over them. (A link box comes up)
Copy that and paste wherever you want it to go.
Hope this is of some use...

You have to wrap the image's url link in image tags ( [img]xxxx.xxx.xxxx.xxx[/img] )

In most of your links your first image tag is missing the second "]" bracket and that's why they are not working properly.

You are one digit out with your copy/paste. You got to paste in between the two tags.

Here is your test jpeg:



You omitted the backslash immediately in front of the img inside the final brackets.

Below is the proper entry to display that jpeg, but using parentheses instead of brackets:

(img)http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8559 ... .jpg(/img)

Just replace the parentheses with the appropriate brackets and the jpeg will show up.
