You're playing with us, right?

Here's the code:

Code: Select all

[img]http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8559/43842939.th.jpg[/img]
What you can do is select the URL first, and then click the "Img" button. The correct tags will be added automatically around your URL.

You can only use one set of [img]-[/img] tags around a URL address. You have two sets in each of those in the post above this one.

Thats it Dale. :smt006

Just make sure you change the size of the picture when you upload to be around 800X600.

Yes it would have done IF the image was 800x600 or less in size. If it is greater then you need to use the thumbnail link instead of the actual pic, this should show the thumbnail in the forum and when somebody clicks on it they will see the full piccy.

Try just putting the entire code from the thumbnails section, forum box. In the post to see what happens. Nothing else. I believe this to be correct.

is this correct

No.. URL will not work if you put a = symbol infront of them. Everything else looks ok.

This is nearly as long as my current BETA thread...lol

Hmmm, I tried to embed a pic from imageshack in exactly the same way I've always done, but it won't post - I get left with an error page :?:

This is my code, with parentheses instead of square brackets. Any netsperts out there know what's up?

<< I'm now gonna try the whole post with IE8. I was using Chrome >>

My advice would be to start with smaller pics. If you're using a simple "screen capture" type program you can do this by going into the "display settings" menu in FS9, and reducing your screen resolution settings to 800 x 600. Now all your screen captures will be the right size to display in the forum pages. Load them up to imageshack. When viewing your image on imageshack look on the screen for the words "Embed this image". Underneath will be some boxes, one of which says "forum" next to it. Click your mouse cursor in this box, and it should highlight all the code. Now just copy and paste that code directly into your post. You shouldn't need to use img tags, as the code already includes them. So don't click on that "Img" button when you do this.

There may be other ways of doing it, but that should work.

Here's one I made earlier (and visually it's nothing special), just so I can see whether I'm chatting sense or rubbish...

Ok, so Google Chrome can't post imageshack links in the forum. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place - as using IE8 crashes my system. It crashed it just after I posted these :smt067
