Missing callsign

Post by Alan Robertson »

Only problemo I've spotted is that the callsign 'Uniform Bravo' seems to be missing from the package.

Hi Alan,

Not sure what's happened here, the callsign should be BRAVO UNIFORM.

Perhaps a typo in the a/c cfg?

Cheers

Missing callsign

Post by Alan Robertson »

Sorry, I wasn't being terribly careful with my typing. The package does indeed show the callsign as 'Bravo Uniform' but it's not there either! :?

Hello guys and congradulations for the excellent ai package.
I would like to state a problem i had with it though.
I took a look at the fligthplans and I found out that in some AFB there were no planes when there should be. After some search I found out that those AFB (KLSV for example) had no parking slots and I had to download afcads for the AI package to work properly. My question is: Do i have to download seperate scenery for all airports that the ai package uses or there are some afcads made by MAIW that i haven't noticed yet?
Thanks in advance

Best wishes
Jim

Jim, MAIW could not release packages with complete AFCAD collections in a timely manner, as MAIW standards would require that each AFCAD be carefully researched and developed. If that were done, I suspect that it would take a year to prepare and release just one package. As time goes by, each package will contribute one or two new, fully developed AFCADs, but will never get all of the airfields that will be used. It will be up to you to do the same as I do: search the usual locations (PAI, avsim, flightsim etc) to find what is available, and for the rest, you will have to learn a little about AFCAD 2.21 so that you can add a little (and reasonable) parking to each airfield as you go along. FS is very incomplete as regards working airfields, especially military or military/civilian use airfields are concerned. For example, KFHU (Libby Army Airfield/Sierra Vista Muni), which has daily commercial flights between KFHU and KPHX, has absolutely no parking of any kind! I searched for an AFCAD and could find none, so I added my own parking. It didn't work so well the first try, but eventually I got the B1900's parking just fine, and when this package came along, I added some parking on the military side for the 2 Tornados that stop by for a while. Nothing special and no attempt at authenticity, just working!

If someone who has real skill, and lots of free time would like to start a thread and post AFCADS to complement the MAIW packages, I am sure that the effort would be greatly appreciated.

All of our packages will just come with the "main" or "home" bases of the units in question. We will do a KLSV (Nellis) afcad when we do one (all) of those units.

Guys, I am having a problem downloading the German Armed Forces GAFFTC package from the maiw site. The german and maxwell links take
me to the same pack for maxwell only. Any ideas?

Hey there!
Does anyone know where i can get the update with the hangar scenery???
My Disk crashed and i lost all my former installations. After i downloaded and after the reinstallation of the Holloman Packages no Scenery with hangars appeared??
Is there an other Package for the scenery with hangars at Holloman AFB??

Thanks and keep going!
