Don't know if anyone else has the same issue but the F-27 is hovering above the ground outside the golden knights hangar. I've looked but I can find no duplicate AFD files on my system. Is Pope split into 2 AFD's or could this be a problem with the aircraft CFG?

The package only comes with one AFCAD for the main airfield. could be an issue with the F-27 config, have you noticed any other floating aircraft?

Just a small FYI, looks like I forgot to update the paint credits in the aircraft.cfg, paints for this package were done by Mark Heimer. It doesn't effect the package but just want to make sure credit is given where it is due.

Just noticed the DHC-6 next to the F-27 and it was sitting on the ground as per normal! Seems to be a problem with the F-27 floating only. Any thoughts?

This is the only F-27 I have so it shouldn't be a problem within my sim only :?

Some users may find white untextured squares on the aprons. If this occurs, remove the file "flood location.bgl" from the X:FS9\Addon Scenery\Pope scenery folder. This file was used for aligning the light effects and was included in the release by accident.

I checked my F-27's and all of them are fine. None of them are floating. I did see that the nose wheel is sunk into the ground a little bit (about half the wheel). All of them are like that.

The F-27 in the Pope pack is the only one that I have so It's not because I have changed the A/C Config to fit with other textures and it's the only A/C thats floating. All the rest ate just fine........?

John and Giorgio,

As a wee experiment I wonder if you could do the following.

Download the original model from here;

http://htai-models.com/downloads/dwai/f ... index.html

(F27A is 14th from bottom)

and then swap out the model/cfg/air files with the ones you have.

See if there is any difference to performance.

Stew, it seems to work fine.
Not yet check the air file, but here are some differencies between cfg

Well, at least you have sorted out the problem.

As to what has caused it, why it was changed - I think I will leave that to someone who knows what the hell they are talking about.

static_cg_height
The static height of the aircraft when at rest on the ground (feet). The program uses this value to position the aircraft at startup, in slew, and at any other time when the simulation is not actively running.

contact_points
The vertical distance of the point from the datum reference point. (the values in red)

You're welcome John. No doubt there was a reason why the cfg file was amended. I don't know what that reason would be, but glad you have sorted out the VTOL F-27.
