Can take a while for things to appear sometimes, just have to be patient.

AI not showing up.

Post by KevinJarvis »

I've installed some of your great packages yet none of them are working for me at the moment.

Your afcads are not overwriting the stock ones.
When I open an airport with afcad, it shows there is a 'mod' but the header at the top of the afcad screen reads 'stock airport'. And there are no parking slots showing.

Mind you, I've got a few years of simming under my belt, yet I've never encountered this type of situation before.

I have my traffic sliders at 60%, I don't have any other afcads for Whiteman, Coningsby, or Shaw, so I'm at a bit of a loss here.

Any assitance will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
KJ

Ya know, we have a different sort of naming convention. I wonder if that's the problem....

Try renaming your afcads...for instance:
MAIW_AF2_SPUR_DEFAULT_DB
becomes
AF2_SPUR_MAIW

Give that a shot.

Danny,
Yeah, I was thinking of that also but didn't give it a go yet.
I'll let you know what I find.
Thanks for the help.

For AFCAD's to show up properly in AFCAD they must begin with AF2, its why I always rename the MAIW AFCAD's as Dan suggested.

Ben,
I am not sure that's necessarily true as the afcads show up fine on our (MAIW) machines.

It seems the only way I can get the afcads to work is to add them to each airports scenery folder and activate them in the sim.

After doing this I now have traffice at Coningsby, Whiteman and Shaw.

I'm not sure why I must do this as I've always simply added afcad files to the addon scenery/scenery folder.

I do appreciate the suggestions.

I also want to thank your staff for supplying us with all these great files.

I used to work for PAI and I know how time consuming it can be.

Thank You,

Could it be the Addon Scenery entry is missing from the scenery library, or has been disabled.
By default it is located above the "Propellor Objects" in the scenery library is MSFS 2004.

I think the answer is that they are inside their hangers as in real life for security e.g. stop prying eyes (or satellites!). They should appear when they are due to start flying.
