Italian Harriers

Post by plumber »

Hi, Have downloaded and installed the above Harrier AI, my problem is that regardless of what base I select in Italy I keep getting "Capa Frasca Range Way Point" (CFR2) its getting a bit annoying. So is there any way of deleting this from the Menu, please.

Hi Brian,
Can you clarify the problem please.
Do you mean that no matter which base you select to fly from the base title shows as "Capa Frasca Range Way Point" once selected , or the fact that you always see the base in the list of base options, or have I mis-read your comment completely?

Hi Steve, Having saved the previous flt, when I select the Mil Parking Slot on the saved base, it then goes back to the Capa Frasca Range Waypoint(CFRW), I then have to reselect Italy and the base,in addition when you try to set the Airbase to Airbase Route each time the system goes to (CFRW) and for each setting you have to reselect Italy and then page down.
I have your Finnish Hawks and Uk Harriers, no probs with them though.
I hope this clarifies the problem

Ah, OK Brian that makes more sense.

As I read your post though it sounds that you load FS9, then select the base that you want to fly from and the slot that you want to start from, and then load the previous flight. Is this correct?

It is an FS problem Im afraid. It is rotating but it looks like it isnt cos its usually stuck at the same RPM.

This you can alter but you will have to make a change to each aircraft entry. The engine is basically a propeller and after take off you see the image as static but it is not. To see it moving you have to alter a parm known as the prop_anim_ratio.

Here is a code fragment to show you what I mean :-

sim=NBAI_Harrier_AV8Bplus_AI_ONLY
model=transit_tanks
texture=MMI_GRUPAER_MM7199
prop_anim_ratio=1.10
atc_airline=WOLF
atc_parking_types=MIL_COMBAT
atc_parking_codes=HARR

As long as the number is NOT 1.0 you will see the engine anim.

Hopefully this helps.

Simply put, Brian. No I haven't received anything from neither email nor pm, but then again I noticed that I spelt hotmail wrong, so coulf you try again with the correct spelling.

If you worked out that it was an error and corrected it then i have no idea where it went.

OK Brian, received and investigated.

Now I agree that something is not quite right there, what it looks like is that somehow the Capa Fresca range has got saved in the .flt file that you are loading up, so instead of looking at Italy as a whole it is also storing the region and city, and therefore narrowing your options.

Now I do not claim to be an expert here, but there appears to be one of two ways to go. One is to ignore your saved flight and create a new one, and save it as default. The other option is to try and find the culprit(s) in the saved .flt file and remove them.

Now if you want to try the second option and are not comfortable with what you are doing, send me that .flt file and I will try and compare it with one of mine and see if you have options set that I don't.

Hope this helps.
Steve
