added Sept 22 2008:
if you already have one of John's (Hill AFB, Whidbey Island, NAS Meridian.. etc) sceneries installed on your computer, you DO NOT need the attached file, if not, make sure you download this special world texture to avoid any issues some users have emailed us about. NOTE: you only need this fix if you are using John's optional scenery.

special world texture file, goes into your main texture folder, also you only need this if your using John's optional custom scenery.

Great Helo package.

On the RDU custom scenery, I have no textures on the humvees, gas trucks, etc. Was there additional libraries needed??

Thanks,
Ken

Ken I believe those are bonus scenery items that John threw in there. They are from Michael Carr's scenery library. It's one of those things where if you have his library installed, the objects show up and it just enhances the scenery. If you don't have Michal Carr's library installed, you will not see those objects.

In your case, it sounds like you have his scenery library installed somewhere in your FS9 folder but you may be missing some of the textures associated with those objects.

Thanks Mike.

I recently had to remove and reinstall FS9. I was pretty sure I backed up everything, however my EZ scenery objects folder got lost. I have been slowly rebuilding it but I know it is not complete. I will search for Carr's library and reload. Hopefully it will take care of the problem.

The bonus scenery looks good except for the missing textures on most of the vehicles.

edit: Found file mcdmil.zip on avsim, installed those textures and all is well.

Thanks,
Ken

Thanks for another great package guys, it's really impressive to see these beasts take off!
One small question about the Apache itself though. Seen from one end of the line, the rearmost Apaches seem to have a "blanketed" canopy. Is this some sort of LODshift?
I've put up some screenshots to show what I mean, first one is with "blanket", the second one zoomed in a bit, and the canopies are clear again...

I don' t know for sure without asking Nick directly but I would assume that is an LOD shift you are noticing.

Hey Mike,

It just looks like a LOD Shift to me as well.

Guys, great release, i have one problem....i have just done a frsh reinstall of fs9 + the sp1, all that else has gone on is this package and the alphasim ah-64d longbow, absolutley nothing else.
If i load a flight with the scenery MAIW Raleigh-Durham (KRDU) enabled, the sim crashes at about 65% terrain load, if i remove it, the sim works. Remember, fs9 is basically empty, this is the only addon scenery wise.
I removed the af2's from the default location also as stated in the load guide.

Any ideas what could be causing this?
