SMALL AMENDMENT TO AIRCRAFT CFG

Post by Stewart Pearson »

Apologies to all of you. Due to a small error in the Aircraft Configuration file ATC could not identify the correct model.

Please find attached replacement which should be copied to the E-6 folder, over-writing the original.

EDIT: due to screw-up by yours truly, I will post a proper a/c cfg file shortly at the end of this thread. :oops:

Cheers

Stewart :oops:

What has been changed in the new aircraft.cfg file? Cause when I put the new cfg file in that planes did not show up. Then I went back to the original cfg file the plane did show up.

ACA2005 showed a duplicate aircraft title. I always error check everything. This program is super for keeping your flightsim error free.

http://aifs.pvdveen.net/

Aircraft Analyzer 2005

ACA2005 is a program which scans the [fltsim] sections of the aircraft.cfg files for all kind of errors and gives you the possibility to edit these sections. Also there is a possibility to create a timetable of the flights to and from an airport and to list the installed flightplans. See the documentation for more details.

Hi Joseph,

LOL I haven't a clue how this happened mate, but for some reason my cfg now has the e3f listed as the model.

If you want to just edit the original, just paste:

[General]
atc_type=silent
atc_model=E6

into the cfg file.

Meantime I'll go and try and find what the hell happened to me air file :cry:

Cheers

Yeah and perhaps if you were to use ACA2007 as I do, then you will not get these erronious reports. I have also manually checked and there are no duplicates that I can see.

Anyone else having double vision with this one? :lol:

Hi Joseph,

I have checked through the package and the cfg I posted, and all seems to be okay dokey.

Can you be a wee bit more specific on what the problems were, before I re-post the file?

Cheers

I don't know. I installed the new cfg file, then went to Tinker AFB and no planes were there. I then put back the original cfg file and went back to Tinker at the same time as before and the planes were there.

Hi Joseph,

I found the problem. The naming was changed for inclusion with the WoA installer.

The aircraft cfg I posted was pre-installer. My bad, my apologies.

I'll post the amended one in the next minute.

Sorry for inconvenience.

One more question. Does the 737-600 have a more specific parking code (right now it has MOO2 for a code)? If it doesn't I am going to make one up. (E6T the T is for Training)

Dont think it does have a specific code as I was not sure where the 737 parked
Please feel free to make any adjustment to the AFCAD as u require on your setup

Sure is a lovely E6B model Elvis did, and great repaints by Graham King....(I love that 737 painted up like that)

Also thanks to Chris P for his AFCAD!

A real team effort!

Help with install Tinker

Post by GZR_Sactargets »

I am getting an error with the WOA installer. I have downloaded and installed a fresh copy of 2.3 and also the .Net framework 2.0. When I run the installer I get the following error message and then it hangs when I try to ignore the error.
Image

I then tried unzipping for a manual install. That appears to be OK, except I do not know where to put the WOA.cfg item. Also I note that the AFCADs with the MAIW prefix will not open with AFCAD. Should those be renamed to something else?

I only have a C-130 and a KC-135 showing up on the ramp. What should I be seeing? (At 8 AM).

Thanks in advance. :?

Hi there,

That sounds like an error on the actual installer. You'd probably get a speedier response by posting on the WoA forums at;

http://www.world-of-ai.com/Forum/index.php

Sorry can't be of more help, but as Donald Sutherland said in "Kelly's Heroes".

"Hey I just ride in them, I don't know what makes them work"

Cheers

Did a manual install and it all appears to be working now. Still haven't seen the 737 but I am sure it will turn up. Still don't have an answer about the automated install (I hate those), but when I used the manual setup and then loaded the 3 correct files to Traffic Tools, it all works.
I still don't know what the WOA.cfg does.
