Duplicate Aircraft Sections

Post by lee100359 »

After installing, ran ACA2007, found duplicate aircraft sections in the P3B_AEW aircraft.cfg file and the P3B aircraft.cfg file. The titles are diffrent, there is an aircraft section at the top and the bottom of the each file. I don't if this will have any effect, I deleted the bottom sections on both files anyway. Just wanted to let you guys know about it. Keep up the excellent work!!!!! Thank You.

Good catch Lee. Those extra entries do not adversly affect the package, so that's the good news. As you mentioned, the easiest solution is to simply delete them from the Aircraft.cfg file.

If anyone is unsure what to do, here are the two Aircraft.cfg files for each model. Simply replace the original ones with these, just be careful about putting them in the correct model folder. One is for the P-3B and one is for the P-3 AEW variant.

P-3B.zip
This is a replacement Aircraft.cfg file for the MAIW_JAI_P-3B NAS Corpus Christi aircraf folder.

This update is NOT required to make the package work, it simply cleans up the Aircraft.cfg file.

Hi,

I can't find the AFCAD's for KNGP and MMSM.

Please advise where they should be.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

The installer places them into your FS9/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder.

This information is part of the included Readme.htm file that is displayed after the package has installed.

Hi,

According to ACA2005, Traffic_MAIW_NAS Corpus Christi.bgl does not contain any flight plans for the P-3B AEW NAS Corpus Christi.

Is this correct?

Best regards,

Peter

Hi Peter,
I have downloaded the package, and copied across manually the traffic file and checked myself in ACA2005, there are 188 entries of which the last 12 are the P-3s.
What does your ACA2005 display show you?
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for replying.

Using Traffic tools, found that there was a mismatch between the name of the aircraft in the aircraft.cfg and that listed in the traffic tools aircraft file.

So can you confirm that everything has been sorted out now?

It says V2 on the MAIW homepage and the zip creation date is different from when first created:

First version
created 18/02/09 size 20,968,577bytes

Updated version
created 05/03/09 size 20,968,577bytes

Reason I asked was because the filesize was the same and I cannot as yet see any obvious differences. I don't want to delete/re-install unless its necessary !!
