If this package is for ROC-Taiwan, then the MAIW icon w/rondel overlay at WOAI web site is a desaster. It has the rondel for The Democratic Peoples Republic of China. Major problem! It hasn's shown up on avsim as of yet, will be checking flightsim in a moment. Hope this can be fixed soonest.

Ron

Sorry! Its Peoples Republic not Democratic Peoples Republic.

Ronnie,

Good catch, and while Taipei might be happy with the switch, I think Beijing might disagree with you. It's scary to think of MAIW driving world politics.

Yeh, very sore spot that. I worry that we might get sucked into that one. Been watching the area closely n its unsettled. When we get tied up in one place, others get to thinking the timing might favor them. Hope not. Spent 3 years in Taipei. Lots of fine folks there. Miss it a lot. Would hate to see then get smoked.

There's http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... DLID=96891 still PRC roundel: http://cocardes.monde.online.fr/v2html/ ... chine.html
not a right ROC roundel: http://cocardes.monde.online.fr/v2html/ ... aiwan.html

BTW- it says it's "MWAI/WOA "Republic of China AF1" Complete AI Package",
but there's a single B737. Does not Taiwanian AF own anything else - they wouldn't survive too long with 737 only :?

BTW2: ROC AF have got over 400 fighter jets, including (but not limited to :)) F-16s, Mirage2000 and FCK IDF!

PRC guys have just unveiled on their side (of China See) that they do fly their secret Chengdu J-10 http://www.sinodefence.com/airforce/fighter/j10.asp
Wouldn't be it nice to have ALL that stuff flying around? :P

Rip,

Good point. It's an "ROC Air Force 1" package (hence the AF1), but the WoA site has it listed as "Republic of China." We should probably call it "ROC Air Force 1" or something a little more true to the contents of the package instead.

Gents,

the description used was the one that was delivered to us by you guys.
You're free to change the roundel on avsim, I don't have the time available for this at the moment ( coming 5 days busy working)

Tom's right, he posted what was given to him by me....as was posted private forums for everyone to see. No issue was stated then with the naming then. I'll look into the roundel issue.
