They are all showing up as BMPs OK.

This is a real mystery. I took the model folders from one of my working C-17 folders (Dover) and used them to replace the ones in my Travis folder: still no textures apart from the cargo.

OK this may be a long shot but I have seen it before, where a web link to a word doc failed to find it.
4 people spent an hour trying to work out why 'LAN test.doc' wouldn't load. The simple answer was that somebody had saved it adding the .doc suffix and so did Word. In reality the doc was called 'LAN test.doc.doc' but because the 'Hide extensions for known file types' option was ticked the problem wasn't immediately apparent.

Check to make sure that you haven't got the same thing.

If that isn't the case then would you mind telling us the exact filename of one texture and showing us the fltsim entry of that aircraft.

Thanks - but they have just one '.bmp' extension. I can see absolutely no variations between these misbehaving textures and the ones that are working OK.

Could I email you my Travis C-17 folder and include just the model folder, one texture, air file and edited aircraft.cfg and you could have a look at your leisure?

OK, problem solved and there was nothing wrong with the textures. My C-17 folders that had been affected had been the West Coast ones and a check of my 'C-17 Edwards' folder showed I had not edited the aircraft.cfg to reduce the entries to just the Edwards aircraft; it still contained all the entries for the entire west coast C-17s.

Funnily enough that is exactly what my conclusion was. Your zip contained no errors at all and all showed up, so it had to be duplicate names somewhere.

Glad it's solved.

Both Edward C-17's have the same repaint and a wrong serial than the textures name.

texture.RCH_ED_418_03-3121
texture.RCH_ED_418_87-0025

The serial on both aircrafts in game is 55153 which actualy belong to a HH C-17

87-0025 just retired on 23APR. Flew from EDW to Dayton, OH for display at the USAF Museum.

I know this is a older package, but I had to re install this package. When I went to re-install it AIFP says the Edwards C-17's is not on my system. I checked the C-17 cfg file and the title there matches the title in the flightplans. I can not figure out what could be wrong.

I figured out what the problem was. The cfg was numbered wrong. I use ACA2017 to check to see if the cfg is numbered right, but it never picked up the error with the C-17 cfg.

Do you still have the copy of the wrongly numbered configuration? Would you please try if AIAE Aircraft Editor picks up and corrects the error?
Cheers,
Martin

FYI _ Possible Traffic File Error...

While reviewing the traffic files I discovered 00-0175 is listed twice in the Flight Plans and 00-0178 is missing entirely.

I have checked and you are correct. The error is only in the flightplans file. If you amend AC#77 in that file to 00-0178 and compile everything will be fine. I checked the compiled bgl that came with the package and that appears to be fine.

Thanks Steve...I should have decompiled the Traffic File before posting. I was just going off the included text file.

That is not a problem. I just automatically check both these days. Its a hangover from my testing days.
