Whiteman AFB v3 package by Desmond Burrell
Re: Whiteman AFB v3 package by Desmond Burrell
In these screenshots http://www.militaryaiworks.com/newforum ... =20&t=9941 it shows the Whiteman AFB scenery with concrete apron textures, but my scenery has asphalt apron textures. How do I get my apron textures to show as concrete? The scenery looks a lot better with conrete apron textures.

Check the AFCAD file in your system for KSZL. See if you have another one, perhaps older one conflicting with the latest one.

I have MAIW_AF2_1SZL_CUSTOM.bgl and MAIW_AF2_KSZL_CUSTOM.bgl. I guess I have to delete the one that says 1SZL. I figured that had something to do with the AI helicopters.MIKE JG wrote:Check the AFCAD file in your system for KSZL. See if you have another one, perhaps older one conflicting with the latest one.

No! Don't delete that one, that's the stand alone helicopter AFD file, you need that for the Apache's.

Ok, then I only have the 1 AFCAD (MAIW_AF2_KSZL_CUSTOM.bgl).MIKE JG wrote:No! Don't delete that one, that's the stand alone helicopter AFD file, you need that for the Apache's.

You should have two AFCADs, both were installed automatically with the installer (MAIW_AF2_KSZL_CUSTOM) and (MAIW_AF2_1SZL_CUSTOM).

Was there ever a fix (or solution) for my apron and taxiway texture problem?

How did you check for a duplicate AFD on your system?Joseph29 wrote:Was there ever a fix (or solution) for my apron and taxiway texture problem?

I used ACA2005 the look for a duplicate AFCAD. I didn't have any other AFCADs installed.
Re: Whiteman AFB v3 package by Desmond Burrell
You could also look up ScanAFD which does the same job. However, it will look for headers in the BGL files, so you get a lot of false positives from taxisign files and the likes.
Re: Whiteman AFB v3 package by Desmond Burrell
Greetings,
The MAIW Whiteman v3 package is superb. I am having one small problem that only happens with this scenery. During the Dusk time frame in FS2004, it causes FS2004 to crash to the desktop. I have removed it from the Scenery Library in FS2004, re-downloaded the package from the MAIW website and re-installed it. Before re-installing, I verified that all traces of the previous install had been removed. It is still crashing FS2004 to the desktop at Dusk after re-installing.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Fred
