I want to start using the RPP generator but can't seem to find a compatible FREE Excel type of program.
Can anyone recommend one?

The excel macros are proprietary and anybody wanting to make their freeware spreadsheet macro compatible are inevitably going to have to hand over some cash to MS. Which will mean that it won't be free any more.
