Sim Flying Music

Post by Tranquil »

Generally most people love the sound of their engines roaring along, but some of us also like to have some music in the background, so that got me to thinking about asking you guys what music do you listen to in sim!

A favorite of mine at the moment is Axess - Crossing The Arctic Circle

Im generally of old School Electronic taste, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Berlin School etc

Much thanks

Mark

Usually I listen to either the local ATC or Planet Rock.

I usually have di.fm's Space Dreams channel running in the background. Very slow, near-zero beat ambient music, so it doesn't require me to pay too much attention to it. Which is probably a good thing, as I'm usually doing low & slow flying in mountainous terrain :)

Quite a bit of Synth/electronic music there guys and heres me thinking i must be the only one in the world still listening to it lol, i like a bit space music, very relaxing, I used to have a few albums from Yes Gary when Vangelis joined after Rick Wakeman left, wouldn't know were they went now! Jon Anderson has an amazing Voice, my favorite track from him is from the Soundtrack (Movie) of Legend by Tangerine Dream..

Speaking of Vangelis, the Esper edition of the Blade Runner soundtrack is also a personal favourite:

Edit: And while on YouTube, I also like artists such as Robert Rich, Steve Roach, John Serrie, and Jon Hopkins' slower stuff.

The first part of that reminds me of the theme tune from the comedy show Bewitched (1964) Classic!!

Much thanks
