Hi all,
next summer my daughter and his boyfriend will be in California and visit Las Vegas. He has the same passion for aircraft as I have, so I suggested him to go to Nellis for, at least, a half day of spotting. (I'm very envious... )
Is there someone who can suggest a good spotting point or knows if it is possible to visit the base?
Any site to visit obtain useful information?
Thanks in advance, Giorgio.

Race track parking lot if they are landing south. Otherwise there's an intersection on the south side of the base that most of the spotters hang out at to see the recoveries.
Just know that if they happen to go on a day when there are no exercises taking place, that there may not be much to see.

Ok, yesterday evening we (wife and the youngest daughter) finished to plan our holiday, that will bring us to Las Vegas next 21-22 of July.
The Red Flag 18-3, is planned between July 13th and Aug 3rd.
21st and 22nd of July are Saturday and Sunday.
Do you know if during the Red Flag there are activities also during the week-end, or they follow the "MAIW standard flightplanning", with aircraft resting on these days?
Thanks in advance, Giorgio.
