Alconbury - No AI Showing

Post by LittleTed »

Hi, I'm new to the forum but I've been simming for quite a while. I've installed Alconbury and the scenery is great. Followed the instructions for placing Sim Objects and bgl and texture and was ready to fly!

It looks like a gost town... no A10 ac around at all.

Have checked the usual:

AI working in other airfields
No FS9 bgls lurking
Switched computer on/off
Checked sliders for AI ac on 35 each

Still nothing... any ideas anyone?

Hope you can help.

Happy New Year!

Welcome, Dom.
OK which scenery is it that you installed, as an org we never released any Alconbury packages ourselves.
So it also goes without saying which models and schemes and plans did you use as well.

You seem to have covered most basic checks, although there are two things.
Firstly, have you got AIFP installed? If not download it and load up your EGWZ traffic bgl into it. What colour are the aircraft in the aircraft list?
Secondly, can you confirm that BOTH sliders are set to 100% as we have had a recent spate of this being a cause of missing traffic and a lot of FSX users don't realise the significance of the GA slider.

True, if memory serves, I need to have the GA slider up in order to see - umm was it the U2's?

I installed the 10th Tactical Fighter Wing FSX package! Beautiful!
I noticed that the traffic is disturbed by the Twin Bases traffic
If I use Twin Bases, I can't see Alconbury traffic!

Sounds like an FS9 traffic file amongst FSX files.
