Greetings!

First off let me say a VERY nice job on all of the packages! Military AI is the white elephant of FS but you sure did capture it and make it work!

My name is Joe, I'm a 22 year old college senior who plans on entering the USAF shortly after graduation to become a (hopefully) pilot or military Intel officer. I spent 2 years in AFROTC but had to leave it due to scheduling issues, but I got to fly on a C-130H and a KC-135R while I was in it so not a total waste. My father is a former F-14 RIO who did a lot of work with the F-14 sunset festivities since he works for Northrop Grumman, who built the thing.

I'm a pretty open and nice guy, so feel free to ask me anything! I also know quite a lot about USAF bases/aircraft assignments etc so if you need any help with those things I'll be more than happy to help.

Again, thanks for all the hard work!!

Jumpshot - since you mentioned you future goals in the USAF, you might want to get a little inspiration from this - Google Adam Sereika. He was a very active flightsimmer, found on many forums for years. A little over a year ago now, I think it is, he began flying C-17's, and I'm pretty sure that he got his inspiration from his days with FS. Haven't seen him on the forums lately, suspect he's a little too busy now-a-days. Has a facebook page, but that has gone locked without an invitation, so don't know if he still posts videos of his flying. Last one I saw, he was making TNG's a Charleston.

Anyway, welcome. Good fortune in the future.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

My interest in aviation I can trace all the way back to as long as I remember. Growing up hearing the stories from my dad's time in the Navy as a RIO I always knew I'd be going into the military and attempting to fly. I consider FS just a catalyst for my ambitions :D

My original (hopeful) lifeplan was to fly in the military, retire after a decade or so, and go into commercial aviation. However, after my two years in ROTC I have pretty much decided that if I do get in I will most likely be a lifer, even if I don't fly :D

Obviously you can tell from my banner what I want to "drive" someday 8)

We actually have as members several active duty military. Not to mention the retired military members who add a certain flair to this site.

I believe Jetmax just returned from the sandbox while others may still be there.

Welcome Jumpshot,
If you need any help on the military flying track, I'm a ex Navy guy now flying for the Army. Been simming since the C64/128 days and thank M$ for FS, placing me well ahead of classmates and keeping up to speed on IFR.

Without a doubt this is the most accurate Military AI site, so much research goes into each package.
