Not sure I understand what you mean. Are you using TTools?

There are a few programs that you can find on avsim.com, or open the flightplan.txt in Notepad and make the changes very carefully.

Best thing I can suggest and what I always recommend to everyone who ask how to do things here is "READ THE README"

Ttools Readme by Lee Swordy is very very good and easily explains how to make Flightplans. It is how the rest of us learnt the art, it will take you time until you get good at it but its the best way to learn.

And as Nick said, the readme file for TTools explains everything you need to know about flight planning. It WILL walk you through each step and what each part means.

What you can do, and I do it often just to get a plane in a particular place, is copy and paste an existing flightplan from your Flightplans_whatever.txt file and then modify the parts you want to change like the airports or the departure times or the AC#. Then just compile with TTools and voila: you have a new flightplan. :)

Rip has got the system nailed though with his program and if I ever get the time to sit down and figure out Exel :smt017 , I'll be using it. :D

C'mon Jake, you just have to be an Excel owner, you don't have to do anything else then modify/add some familiar data to some sheet rows ...

I've been using a flightplan creator that actually writes all 3 text files for you.
The interface is really easy to use and it will allow you to edit any of the 3 if needed.

AIFlight Creator by Dave Westbury.

But I look forward to anything that is 'easy'....

Rip's does as well but it will also write multiple flightplans both IFR and VFR TNG Tours Home and back all at the same time with one touch of a button

Right off to sulk now and find another job!

Chris, the Beta is now in a veeery mature v0.8. We (Barry and me) just tune last ideas to have everything working (almost) 100% reliable.
A User's Guide should be written, based on the last version, and off you fly to Avsim.com.

If you are so brave to taste the Beta then just drop me an email

Or, go for the FOSS option and use OpenOffice.org. :)

Oh no, I'm very sorry but no.
OpenOffice's Calc is not compatible with VBA of MS Excel.
Macro won't run ...
This way Calc would serve you just like a notepad
