**This setup uses the Shockwave rotating red beacon effect for the anti-collision lights which is the old style beacon that looks like what you see on a fire engine. I've seen Lear 35's with this style as well as a more modern white anti-collision light. You may want to use a different beacon type. I also adjusted the smoke settings and tied them to the strobe lights so that it does not become active until the aircraft takes the runway.

Just a word of caution. If you submit light configurations, especially if you have copied them from another website, please check them for accuracy on the model before you post the settings. That includes on the ground as well as in the air. The military versions of some of the models may have a different light setup than their civilian counterpart. Also I'm seeing many errors in the light settings that are being posted on other sites which leads me to believe that people are not checking their work for errors.

some of the ones posted by flyboy were done by me a long time ago, i also did a lot of the ones on the AIG website, what are the errors? i can try and fix any you have found.
one of the problems i have is i modified some of the cfg files of some older ai aircraft to try and make them fly a little better, this will therefore effect the light placings. another which may or may not be an issue is i did some of them in fsx and some in fs9.

Hello Jim, so far I've only checked the HTAI Lear 35 settings which MAIW uses for the USAF C-21. Is that one of the ones that you originally did?

Agreed, lemme check the E-3, I don't have the VC-10 model.
EDIT: The settings look great Jim. I placed a screenshot for the E-3A in that original thread. If you get a chance can you PM me some 800 pixel wide shots of the lights on the VC-10 model and the E-3D model?
The HTAI Lear 35 had all kinds of things wrong with those settings. Just the ones off the top of my head that I remember:
-Wing nav lights were not attached to the wings
-Main gear landing light effect were not attached to the gear legs or lights.
-Those main gear lights were coded as type 5 meaning they would have stayed on and in that same position after the gear was raised.
I could go on but there's no point. As long as people check the entries first, there shouldn't be any problems.

Re: Shockwave Lights: Coordinates for MAIW models
how about the nbai f-18?
Re: Shockwave Lights: Coordinates for MAIW models
Cary you could just use the most recent configs for those two models from recent MAIW packs (Elmendorf V2). Then just switch out the default or HTAI effects for the SW ones.
This little side project sort of fell off my radar after the "wow" factor of the SW lights wore off.

Thanks Mike, I think that's what I did.

Re: Shockwave Lights: Coordinates for MAIW models
I wish there were an easier way of adjusting these without having to load up fs9 to see if they are in the correct place. The ones there are coordinates for look great!
Re: Shockwave Lights: Coordinates for MAIW models
I use Aircraft Container Manager for that. Some newer aircraft don't show up in their entirety, but most are ok. You can mince around with the settings in the app to get them as right as you would like.
When the development of this proggy stopped they made available a universal key which I have to say was very generous of them. ACM v2.5 was the last version.

The universal key enabled everybody to use its full functionality, now whether you just place this ACMKey.txt in the folder or whether you have to activate this code - i can't remember.
