JASDF Bases

Post by clickclickdoh »

My first attempt at building an ADE scenery. Uses MAIW ABO, GGSE and Atsugi library objects.

AI traffic is available for this airbase. F-15Js from Raj Parker and the F-2s from Graham King and James84. Parking spots for them are designated as 304H and 6H respectively.

Not intended to be a super accurate scenery as detailed pictures of this base are very hard to come by.

Any feedback good or bad would be appreciated as I plan on doing a series of JASDF bases.

I don't see the F-15 probably because the parking radius is set 9.1m while the NB model is set for 12m.:-(

Not bad at all. Thanks for sharing.
If I may make one suggestion, it would be easier if you set the option in ADE to create separate Airport and Object bgls. This would allow for users to be able to change the parking spot designations and size without them losing some or all of the scenery that you have added. it would mean that Mav could fix his parking problem himself. I also confess to being an almost compulsive fiddler with afcads.

It would be a shame if you got the feeling that people didn't appreciate your efforts because your feedback contained messages saying that they saw no scenery. We got caught out as well and that is why we now create separates in our packages.

Huh, I just pulled up the aircraft radius and there is a mix of 9m and 12m ships for the NBAI model. Never noticed that before. I'll update the parking spots to reflect the differences. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip Firebird, I'll do that.

Updated files: Scenery and parking separated and 304H and transient parking increase in size to accommodate 12m F15 models.

I'm currently using a Hyakuri that was made for FS2002, but with an adapted AFCAD file to put in the second runway and the civilian ramp.

Gifu

Uses MAIW ABO, GGSE, Atsugi, Fence and Hummvee libraries and ga_hangars_ss_vol_2_v1.zip

F-2s, F-15s and T-7s available from previously mentioned packs. T-4s are from the Japanese Air Self Defense Force AI Traffic 2005 pack by Dexter Eadie. Sadly, I haven't found any F-4s painted for Gifu. Parking for the Hiko Kaihatsu Jikken Dan aircraft is coded as HKJ

Next up will be fixing the floating buildings at Hofu and replacing the giant green parking lot with a proper background.... then probably Matsushima.

Hofu V2.

Removes all helium from floating buildings, putting them back in their proper place. Also changes the great grass parking lot to a proper background that acknowledges the change of seasons.

Matsushima

Uses the usual suspects for libraries: MAIW ABO, GGSE, Atsugi, Fence and Hummvee.

AI Available: F-2Bs and T-4s from previously mentioned packs. U-125As can either come from the JASDF 2005 pack or from Jason King

Parking codes:
Blue Impulse T-4s: 11H
21 Hikotai F-2Bs and T-4s: 21H
Matsushima Kyunantai: SAR

For anyone using the payware Cessna AI traffic or any of the piper AI packs on Avsim, I suggest using Traffic Tools to change any appearances of RJST to RJSS in them. This can also be a problem at the Tsuiki scenery. That should have any RJFZ changed to RJFR.

I intentionally set up the scenery to support pre-tsunami traffic levels at the airfield.

The JASDF_TRAINERS.ZIP pack from Dexter Eadie is not on AVSIM anymore. I've search on Flightsim and other web site, I don't find it. Can you share it plase ?

Completely off mission on this one...

JGSDF Kasuminome

Watch your approach on this one... it's unforgiving.

Uses our old friends: MAIW ABO, GGSE, Atsugi, Fence and Hummvee... Plus ag tree lib.

No AI that I know of for this base right now. There are some LR1s floating around out there without FPs, and Jason King did some LR-2s, but they don't visit this base.
