Eindhoven Airbase - EHEH

Post by Stewart Pearson »

Scenery files for this joint civilian/military base. As usual, parking is accurate (ish) however scenery objects are representative.

NOTE:

1. As well is the usual MAIW Libraries, you'll need MAIW_RAAF bases installed (for the apron lights).

2. Being a civilian airport there are a lot of extra eye candy bits and bobs. To view them you will need the following;

Flightsim.

Glider Object Library Part 1
Glider Object Library Part 2

Avsim

baggage_carts_ss.bgl
parking_lots_large_ss.bgl
fs9_custom_buildings_ss_1.bgl
fs9_custom_buildings_ss_2.bgl
small_airstrip_objects_ss.bgl
ez-terminals_ss.bgl
ez-skylaunch2.bgl
ve4_r12.zip
jrm_ez_1.zip

(apologies if I have missed any)

Of course if you want just military stuff, then you don't need to download the above - although you'll miss the glider field to the Southeast. :D

Zip contains folder with 4 bgl files. Just place the bgls in your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder.

Big thanks to Gert for the VTPP and to ChrisB for being a nitpick...............ehm sorry, excellent source of feedback. :smt005

As usual feedback welcome.

Enjoy

I downloaded the Scenery and thought that it was very well made. I did not have any military traffic. Does maiw flight plans include NHEH?

And I threw it out believing it to be part of a cunning plan.

You downloaded it 34 times and I did the 35th one. In that case you have no feedback.

If you check in the "movements" page mate, there are 7 MAIW packages which include traffic to EHEH.

http://www.militaryaiworks.com/ammap/Ma ... _form.html

It's also worth doing a search at Avsim for Netherlands Air Force as the based RNLAF Transport aircraft and plans are available.

OK Stew,
I have checked this and your other recent Dutch bases out. They are very nice looking, and in themselves I found no issues.
The one thing that this base did have, in common with the others, is that the default afcads are 0' and yours are at the correct height.

Consequently, all the taxiways and buildings were subterranean. I was quite easily able to create new height bgl's using your afcads and ADE. If anybody else has this problem then I can supply the files for the 4 airfields, Volkel, Eindhoven, Valkenburg and Twenthe.

Sorry to hear you had that problem Steve. I had no such issues on my set-up, and I started each ADE from the default (stock) airport :?

I wonder if it's because I have FS Genesis installed?

Just checked EHEH, both the default bgl and my ADE are at the same altitude mate. (73.999 ft)

That's weird. I have FSGenesis as well. The default scenery afcad is at 0', and not the correct height. No big deal, i am used to creating these things now. Anyway if they are needed i can supply them.

I guess the question really is are you willing to switch off NL2000?
With the NL2000 system they alter the whole area including textures. I don't believe that you can successfully switch out one base and leave the system in place.
