Euro-Scooter

Post by mikeblaze »

Here is the newest aircraft to the mad modeler's stable, the Fiat G.91 Gina. I was quietly trying to knock this one out and release it as a surprise companion aircraft for the Luftwaffe and Italian Starfighters, but life didn't quite work out that way. This model is much more advanced than what I usually premier, it's pretty much in a finished alpha state except, excluding the gear, that all of the animated parts have to be cut out and animated. It's probably a week of dedicated work away from being fully done in alpha form, but that's a relative term in comparison to all of the other projects I have in progress. Anyways, I will be doing the single- and two-seaters for all G.91R series and the G.91Y twin-engine variant; and as you can see, it has a nice working FDE in place already, thanks to my Mike MacIntyre-level of training. Don't expect anything new on this one for a few weeks at least, as I have to close out the Mirage III/5 project, catch up on some MAIW work, and a couple of other things while I am still on the mend.

Mike,

I have been waiting for one of these for ages but always afraid to ask. (No it wasn't me who constantly voted for it).
It looks the part and is very welcome. Bravo Sir.

I never looked at the voting; remember that I am the slow kid on the block when it comes to social media, lol. I just had this aircraft on my own list....... 8)

Here are the alpha models for all variants planned in this package (I think there is an armed 91T, but that one isn't in this mix). Ignore the generic paint, as I am just now breaking the paint kit down to individual variants; and ignore the missing single ventral fin on all of the non-Y models. Other than that, these are in FDE test and finalizing of individual models before multi-LOD betas are built. Unless a brick falls on my head, I will have the first of these out by the end of this month.

I figured out that all of the 91T have 2x 12.7mm MG, so that mystery is solved. I almost got fooled again by some really nice drawing that left them out, lol. I will be posting some new screenshots this weekend, of new painting going on (Frecce Tricolori, Portugal, lots more Luftwaffe and AMI.......).

Brilliant work Mike.

I had a Luftwaffe collection for FS98 and this was one of my favourite aircraft to fly from that package.

Well done indeed.

... yeah, I've bought the Cloud9 one and like the the systems, e.g. the stall in to narrow curves or if you push to early with 100% rpm on start. I can't wait for the AI Ginas.
