Yes, flat roof.
But also, from top, these Shelters are not rectangular, they are like this :

Well I don't think we have anything like that in our libs but maybe it is something that Stevo might be willing to help with, as per his post from a few weeks ago. It seems like it might be.

Yep, but I wouldn't be able to replicate that with the objects available. It would have to be custom made by someone.TheFoufure wrote:Yes, flat roof.

Is this what you had in mind.
It will take a bit of work to get LOD's done.
I will send one on to have a look at.

Yes it is possible to make it any colour.
I will have to get textures on it. The default Gmax colours become invisible with some graphics cards.
My plan is to make one bay with LOD's. Copy that bay and then stitch the copies together.
The model also needs to be optimised. I am working on the bracing now.
It might take a while. I have other things to take care of this weekend.

That does look good.
Do you plan to do any of the Eglin Aux fields in the future?

I can definitely add them to my "to do" list. Which fields in particular?Firebird wrote:That does look good.

Re: Bases I'm playing around with...
Well two that we have done packages for in the past, #9 Hurlburt and #3 Duke, are the main ones I am thinking about.
I read on wikipedia that #10 Dillon is to be used for the F-35s training.
A quick look on Google Earth seems to indicate that Hurlburt and Duke will be the most work whilst some like #2 Pierce, #4 Peel and #5 Piccolo look like they might be a lot easier.
I haven't looked for the rest.
To be honest. Great if you can find the time and inclination for these but if you have another preference, e.g. Tyndall, then I am happy for you to follow your preferences.

Re: Bases I'm playing around with...
Sure. I can do Duke, that looks pretty easy. Hulburt looks a little more challenging, but I'll do that one also ( I think I see Ospreys sitting on a western ramp with their own runway area, most likely making this a two afcad airport...ugh). Camp Rudder, or test site B6, might be also thrown in there. I think its used by the army rangers.

Re: Bases I'm playing around with...
Does anybody know how many F-35s are going to be based at Eglin?
I thought that I read somewhere that the number was going to be up to 59, presumably including the foreign ones, but I can't find that info any more.
*UPDATE*
Never mind the bug where you ALWAYS find out the answer yourself AFTER you have openly asked the question.
58th FS authorised for 24x As
VFA-101 authorised for 15x Cs
This leaves presumably 20 for foreign nations of which the UK has 4 and the Netherlands 2 and Norway 1 at the moment.

Re: Bases I'm playing around with...
This was something I was actually going to ask. I ended up coding the parking on the F-35 ramp for the 58th until someone does Eglin and Navy F-35 flightplans. I'll do an update when I know where they actually are.Firebird wrote:Does anybody know how many F-35s are going to be based at Eglin?
