Mother Russia

Post by bismarck »

Hello all,
at the end, I decided to summarize what I’ve done up to now, for my OLD FS9 setup, related to the Russian military aviation.
I'm going to upload a file containing the flightplans I use for my Russian skies.
I started work on this many years ago, when the first Russian aircraft became available. I never released nothing about this job, mainly because it was, and still is, almost impossible to produce a complete package.

Here what you can find in this package, so you can decide to download it or not.

1) 21 traffic files for 1,198 aircraft based at 59 different airports. (see “Traffic file” sheet in the Excel file)
2) Russia_2020.xlsx. This is the master file I’ve used to summarize data for the project.
3) Raw data for all Traffic_xxx.bgl (.txt files)
4) A long list of files used for the project (see the “Files” sheet in the the Excel file).

More info in the readme, if you need clarification, just ask here.

Regards, Giorgio

As far as I know - not yet.

Funny that this is coming up just now :smt001

And if so, are the sceneries up to date?

I am asking for FS9 version.

Hi Asdro, there is not a precise list of which sceneries are needed.
You can only find a list of those files I have used.
We are talking about FS9, almost all of these sceneries have been published years ago. Say if they are up-to-date is not possible.
BTW, most of them are very nice and all, are really close to what you can see, from Earth Google (or Google Maps).
In the Master sheet of the Excel file, you can find all the airbases where the Aircraft are based, If you can't find the scenery you want, send me the list of ICAO codes, I can check where they are installed on my setup and, if possible, from which zip file they must be donwloaded.

Andrey Anta did a lot of Russian sceneries for FS9, they're all available on Flightsim.com.

These repaints are in the file vvs.zip I have in my archive. They are painted by Philippe Tabatchnik.
In this zip, I do not have the image you've posted, but it is the correct one.
Searching for vvs.zip on avsimrus.com, show some files, but I can't say if they are the same or not. Texture are named differently and the name of the file are not the same (7442_texture.vvs.zip; 7385_texture.vvs.zip; texture.vvs.zip)
Try to investigate in that direction. As far as I know, RATS site is dead.
