A Small project!

Post by Javier Tapia »

Hi, this is a small project I started to have all fighter units of the Chilean Air Force up and in full strengh
First Stop:
this is Cerro Moreno Air Base in Antofagasta Chile, currently only the F-5s of the 7th Aviation Group made, unfortunately since there is no F-5F model (nor could I find the T-38 paintkit) I am using and old F-5E aggressor scheme

And finally, looks like someone in MAIW really likes Cerro Moreno, think is the first time I see so many Hercs together in Chile!

Image

PD: I am not really good on flightplanning so the aircraft are currenly flying with modified flightplans i found

I'll upload more soon

Some more, this time from Los Condores Air base in Iquique, withthe new F-16 Block 50s the jewel of the Chilean Air force
This repaints aren't mine, are the ones you can find in Graham Kings page (the F-5 were mine) I this case I just made the AFD and modified the FPs.

Nice work, Javier.
Yeah, I think we really need a good F-5E/F model. There are so many air forces that we can do. Maybe one will turn up.

Exactly my point, Chris. It opens up the whole world with that type, well including the F-5A/B as well.

The Chilean fighters or the Hawks?

My screens were form a personla job, nothing to complicated, just to populate, repainting missing aircraft and doing AFDs for the airports (sceneryes are not mine, but available onf fltsim and avsim) anyway, still missing the 2 F-16AM/BM units on Antofagasta and Punta Arenas, a A-36/T-36 unit on Iquique (no aircraft model available) and the A-37 of Punta Arenas.... wich reminds me... is there a paintkit for the AI A-37?
thanks
Anyway, when im finished, if someone wants it, I could send it to him, but don't expect a great package or anything near to MAIW standarts

We encourage all of you to post your work on Avsim or whichever site you choose. The mission of MAIW is to foster military AI...that means not just us making it! :)

Yeah, well guess i'll have to improve the quality to make it good enought for the public jajaj

Ohh... I forgot, I have a doubt about the parking codes, how many parking codes can be assigned to any aircraft? since all Chilean air bases are also civilian airports, I get a lot of fighters parking on civilian spots. I do have on every aircraft parking codes the unit (ex: GA7) and FACH, but looks like they only ovey the first one.
Any idea on how to fix that?
Ohh, and I should be able to upload some more screens tonight, making the last adjustments to the F-16AM MLU repaint. ;)

I am sure at least GrahamS knows how to fix that AFCAD parking spot problem. I am sure I read it somewhere but cant find it right now...
