Windows 10...... I HATE YOU!

Yeah for win 10 to work you must have a UEFI compatible bios which means a machine about 3-4 years old.

Their checking for compatibility needs to be a lot better.

I was surprised when it said PC is W10 ready. They are still trying to install it!! Hopefully they will stop when it becomes payware

A word of warning for people with 10.
Today I got my Anniversary update and it wiped out the drivers for my CH Product hardware which no other Windows 10 upgrade has done. I think you will have to re-install the Control Managerto see the devices again.

I did have a bit of a nightmare upgrade, due to personal stupidity, but I was able to back out the upgrade due to the nature of Windows 10 upgrades.

Is the Anniversary Update something that downloads and installs automatically if you have automatic updates turned on?

It does download automatically and sets a time for installation, or if you shutdown your PC it will auto install.

To be honest if you have been keeping up to date with the regular updates that they have been putting out then there shouldn't be too much difference, hence why I mentioned the thing that I did find. The last update being a week ago.

This is what was called Redstone. Redstone 2, the next update milestone, work has already started being made available to fast ring beta testers.
