Hey Everybody,
I am sure somebody has seen this issue yet I can't seem to be able to find a fix for it. I can run FS9 no problem with all settings max'd out and still have fps at 24. My problem is running FSX, I am lucky to get 10-11 in the air and when on the ground I get 3 sometimes dropping down to 1-2 I have my settings set for a decent looking default scenery so I can at least see jetways and ground traffic.
My system is as follows
Operating System WIN XP
Processor is a Celeron D @ 3.0 GHz
2GB RAM
Video card is a NVIDIA 8500 GT with 512MB RAM.
I have another computer that runs Vista, E2180 Processor with 2GB Ram and the same video card and everything works great both FS9 and FSX.
Is there something I can do besides upgrading to fix this problem.
Thanks
Les

Although I can't help with the computer hardware specs for your computer I would say that you have to be careful when comparing framerates between FS9 and FSX as they're measured differently.
Typically you will see lower framrates for a comparable result in FSX than in FS9.
However, 1 -2 frames is very, very poor indeed and clearly something is not right.

Not sure if this pertains to your setup or not. One of the issues I saw on the forums at simflight.com, is that SP2 as with other changes to FSX by MS, have to be made on a virgin set up of the sim. ie. no changes to the default cfg files. Not sure about add ons like scenery, aircraft, but it seemed the recommendation was the sim should be just as it came out of the box.
