Eye angle in 2D panel view.

Post by N35W »

I'm doing some flight testing of standard aircraft at KMHV.

Having sinkrate trouble with the Project Opensky Boeing 747-400 Brithish Airways Landor.

Same thing with Veneaviones Citation 2.

I need more pitch to control my sinkrate but I can't see the runway.

I know that's not right because in a real aircraft thats why the nose is sloped, so you can see down at a high angle of pitch. Also why the condorde nose would droop.

We are strickly talking jets here. I've flown a Piper Cub in real life and you can't see the taxiway or runway when taxing out the front. You have to look out the side or stick your head out the window. Once at full power wings level on takeoff or on approach, you can see good engough between left, front, right to get your bearings. So all you taildraggers out there don't burn me on this one.

Is there something I can do in the panel config or somewhere else to cause the eyes to look down more?

You can raise the seat up so you have a better angle over the panel.
Shift+Enter and Shift+Backspace moves the seat.

See, for all of you out there that don't like to read your manuals carefully like Me, you miss very important tidbits like this.

Thank you very much Kevin. This changes everything. Solves many problems.
