Windows 7

Post by DaleRFU »

Hi everyone,

I just got a new system with windows 7 on, and it works perfectly, however, if i have edited or created a AFD for example, when i save it, it saves but has a pad lock over it, and i can only see it when i see it through the programme, because when i go through my computer and go into the folder i put it in it isnt there

any ideas on what to do?

First thing I would do is turn off User Account Control, that might be the issue. It's a real pain in the butt.

I don't have Win7 but from reading a lot of FS forums, this seems to cause a lot of problems when tweaking your FS setup.

In fact, I'm mulling over getting a new rig, I'm not sure I even want Win7 on it at this point.

Once UAC is off, she's rock solid. It's a great OS. I haven't had any issues other than UAC, disabling it took a whopping 10 seconds to complete.
Of course I'm also one of those FSX convert yahoo's.. :smt025
