Joystick problem

Post by DaveB at EGCC »

Hope someone can help!

Every time I use FS I have to calibrate my joystick?
This has only started recently, after changing graphics card?

Many thanks

Dave you might try this:

Make a backup copy of your FS9.cfg file (located in C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9)

Once you have done that, delete the original version and then restart FS9. That will force a rebuild of your FS9.cfg file. Once the sim boots up, it will be like the first time you installed it. All the settings will be at the default status.

Before you change any settings, load up an aircraft and check your joystick. If the problem is solved, then you know that it's some setting in your original FS9.cfg file that got changed. From there you should be able to narrow it down to the problem.

If it is a Logitech Extreme 3D pro - good luck! This may be a sign of a dying joystick. Often accompanied by rough inputs although you moved the stick barely a hair width. I lost my second one already but like the price and its performance.

No, your Scenery.cfg file and your traffic files would not be affected.
