USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
Hello,
I am looking for the whole AWACS fleet of the USAF. The latest NATO Sentry package uses the NAAI model now. It would be nice to install the rest of the USAF.
The Nato Sentry pack consist of 17 regs.
How many are in use by the USAF?
Are repaints existing or is somebody painting them? Also I need flightplans for USAF AWACS.
Hope you can help me.
Thanks

Those look awesome. Would be great to know where to find them.
Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
If we update ourselfe the old package, with old flightplans but with new model and your great repaint, is not spoiling.
Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
Steve had a package update in the works, so he should be able to give you a status update.
Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
Yes I admit that I was looking after this but got sidetracked some time ago.
Ray did some great paints for them with the latest schemes that he found for them but some didn't line up with their current locations.
So we had there original locations, newer schemes, and latest location details. They didn't match up. I was wondering what to do when I got off track. I shall have to think again on how to proceed with this.

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
Hello
I have a question
I have checked some units and bases in the 2007 package of the USAF AWACS and I noticed many differences.
For example 3rd wing in Alaska Elmendorf doesn`t exist anymore. Where can I get latest informations about the units, bases, callsigns ect.?
for example there was one AWACS 78-0577 that had the letter OK and now it wares ZZ.
I am a little confused.

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
I think that was the main problem so many Airframes changing to or from "OK" to "ZZ" and not enough accurate data for all you simmers that like up to date serials, so the update never got released

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
which is a shame...
These paints looks great, and even if a tail number is wrong they still look great.

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
It is an upgrade that I do want to get done but I feel that if I was to ask Ray to repaint again we need to make sure that we have accurate info. Not only the base codes but also the sqn bands.

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
My .02$ on the subject would be not get to wrapped around the axle with tail numbers/base code as the projects are a snapshot in time. With the OPS TEMPO and the Air Forces desire to draw down some of the older air-breathing ISR assets to pay for new aircraft (i.e. a 767 based AWACS & JSTARS etc) some of the aircraft could be out of inventory within a year or two anyhow.

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
not a problem to change any or all of the aircraft Steve, as i saved all units and tail bands in layers so i can just add or takeaway
so just say what you need, shame to leave a fantastic model on the shelve as in the last post, all packages are just a moment in time

Re: USAF AWACS for Naai 707 models
The easy way to do it would use the new model painted as they were released in the old package, it would still be fairly accurate as those aircraft probably change pretty regular in the real world.
Bazinga!
