Los Angeles Sheriffs Department

Post by Tranquil »

Ok i know this is a non military pack, but thought i would share what ive been working on lately, if there is any interest then it will become available for all!

Los Angeles Sheriffs Department / Long Beach Airport (KLGB) / California / USA

Image

The LASD Air Rescue program is used for many emergencies in L.A. County, from Mountain Rescue to Sea Rescue.

In 2009 SH-3D Sea king (N950DG) carried out the transportation of Michael Jacksons body from the UCLA Medical Center to LA Coroners Office.

Towards the middle of 2012, LASD's Air Rescue 5 began replacing the aging Sikorsky H-3 Sea Kings with 3 AS332 Super Puma's as their primary rescue helicopters.

Much thanks

Mark

I'm really surprised the AStar hasn't been a more popular AI aircraft. There's a lot in government, land management agencies, and air ambulances. Sharing is definitely caring with those paints.

Yeah, I think I could find a spot on my system for these nice schemes.

ahs06, I agree but that is alot of repaints and flightplanning to get them all in.

Great looking birds, I'm all for government and law enforcement air units in the sim next to MAIW regulars.

I agree it's a lot of paints. I think in the US there's somewhere in the ballpark of 500 flying. I'm just surprised the model has barely been touched. Even utt only has seven repaint packs on their site.

Nice paints!. To bad the UTT model doesn't have the spotlights and stuff that the real helicopter has.

Thank you for the comments guys! The UTT AS350 is a great model, ive had it in sim since it was released but only in the guise of the Shawbury & Middle Wallop RAF Squirrels (i recently updated my pack as they are no longer serviced by fbheliservices, its now Cobham)..

Due to all the ai models being for FS9 then that is the base target of this release, however if the FSX users here would like a higher res texture set then that can be arranged..

I actually would like to do more packs of non military services, eg, Air Ambulance, Police, Government etc , but would have to ask maiw how they feel about it, due to this being a Military ai Website.....

Much thanks

Mark

I understand your interrogation about that.

But you can realise these repaints, and put them on your page on The Owl's Nest, without preview on MAIW forum.

I've got three of the US Customs AS350's painted up for FS9 that I did a while ago.
Only problem is to find where I hid them when I moved to FSX.

Maybe a little bit of scenery to go with my the pack!! Sherriffs Department and surrounding buildings!! ie Long Beach fire Department , Flight Safety building etc :)

Still loads of texture editing to do, basically im grabbing the textures via google earth as LA is in 3D now so it gives me the option to get the textures, place them, then edit them!

Much thanks
