NAS North Island Seahawks

Post by ricki429 »

Having been completely new to painting AI aircraft, I decided to start with NAS North Island as it was a large hole in the US skies....ended up doing 173 paints! It was a very steep learning curve but tonight I finally got to submit it to MAIW - hopefully it'll be available soon.
Didn't have many resources to work with so the fleet is the best I could get it using heli database and flickr. I understand some schemes or serials may be out of date but atleast NAS North Island is now busy!

Hi,

it is great to see such a population of helicopters on the base.

Erez Werber's AI Aircraft Texture Checker reports:

Aircraft Folder: MAIW_AI_MH-60_Sea Hawk_North Island
Following textures were probably made for FSX and will cause FS9 to crash. folder: HSC-15 168530, model: Sea_Hawk_S
JYAI_Black_Hawk_t.bmp ERROR: Incompatible with FS9

Aircraft Folder: MAIW_AI_MH-60_Sea Hawk_North Island
Following textures were probably made for FSX and will cause FS9 to crash. folder: HSC-15 168531, model: Sea_Hawk_S
JYAI_Black_Hawk_t.bmp ERROR: Incompatible with FS9

Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Walter

Maybe a couple of 2048X2048 textures have slipped through!

Much thanks

You are right about those 2048 sized textures and there are a couple of scheme issues as well.

Rick is aware of them all and is beavering away to fix them all the issues before releasing an update.

No problem Walter, its just a quick fix until the update comes along! Rick really did jump in at the deep end with this pack! but at the end of the day it really is a magnificent set!

Much thanks

Has anybody got a NAS North Island AFCAD that can accommodate this many Sea Hawks ??

I currently have the John Stinstrom Scenery but its designed for 1992 and only has a few parking spots at present. I'm in the
process of adding some rotary-wing parking to his afcad now but not sure if I should share !!

I have applied all the corrections but im not sure how to update the file uploaded - hoping somebody can help me out?
I'm surprised only a few errors were in the pack given i have zero experience at this  But thanks as ever to Tranquil mentoring me!
There is an AFCAD in the pack with a space for each plus visitors...
