NAS Key West

Post by shaggy22 »

Straight after the Wings over Homestead show we drove down to the Florida Keys, if you've never been then you're missing out as it's a stunning part of the world, more specifically NAS Key West. I was positioned on the outside so they're a little far away unfortunately due to the runway in use. Some nice stuff though, first time I've seen an F-35C & a Seahawk. There was a P-3C in circuit & of course its good to see the resident F/A-18's & especially the F-5's, they are stunning little aeroplanes imo

Agree about the stunning part, on vacay last year and while on the way out for a dive saw 2x F5s leading a pair of Rhinos back into the break after some hard ACM I'm sure.

Nice shots, but still can't get my head about VFC-111, after all, I was at miramar during the VF-111 heydays in the 80's
